Bad fall and serious injury for Mattia Casse

Bad news for Mattia Casse, protagonist despite himself of a bad fall during the Kvitfjell test in Norway, in the upper part of the “Olympiabakken” slope. The Italian skier è was immediately subjected to some medical tests to establish the severity of his injury.

Casse suffered a compound fracture of his right elbow and will return to Italy in the coming days for further tests. If the outcome of the tests is confirmed, the Azzurro will undergo surgery, with the hope of returning before the end of the season.

"This is part of the game. Of course, it would have been better if it had not happened. I remain positive, however, and it may well be that it is not all over for this season. I will evaluateò together with the doctors", Casse’s words to Fisi.

With Casse's exit, Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt mathematically won his third consecutive Super-g World Cup.
