Lucia Bronzetti, world number 54, beat Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, number 62, in the first round of the WTA 1000 Indian Wells with a score of 6-4 7-5 in two hours and 10 minutes of play.

Up to 3-2 in favor of Bronzetti è only Kalinina having to save a beak ball on the’1-0 for the’azure, then instead in the next five games there were five consecutive breaks, three of which in favor of Lucia who won the first partial at the first set point.

Bronzetti misses a break point in the second game of the second set and poo è she loses service at 2-2. On 4-3 for Kalinina Bronzetti misses three more break points, moreover consecutive, on 5-4 però she manages to make the counterbreak.

Lucia held serve at 5-5 and at 6-5 won her fourth consecutive game and also the match on the first match point. Now the Romagnola in the second round will face Poland’s Magdalena Frech.
