Keifer Sykes will goà to Poland

Keifer Sykes will no longer è be a player of Varese Basketball. The 31-year-old point guard, who arrived in the red and white at the beginning of November 2024, has in fact reached an agreement with the club for the consensual termination of his contract, which bound him to Varese until June 30, 2025. For Sykes, the future è away from Italy: according to reports 'La Prealpina' in fact, Legia Warsaw è is ready to officially announce it.

"Pallacanestro Varese announces that today è the consensual termination of the contract with Keifer Sykes was signed – reads the official communiqué of Pallacanestro Varese, released on Friday, two days before the championship game against Tortona -. The player is to be wished all the best for the continuation of his season".

Born in 1993, Sykes lived in Varese his third experience in the Italian league, after the one with the Scandone Avellino jersey in the 2018-2019 year and, after a parenthesis in China, the one at Olimpia Milano, in 2019-2020. In Europe, the American has also played in the Turkish (Ankara DSI, Turk Telekom) and Greek (Panathinaikos) leagues.

Varese Basketball, after a shaky start, seemed to have lifted the season in January with the three wins in a row against Napoli, Sassari and Treviso. From there on, however, five consecutive losses have come (against Pistoia, Brescia, Olimpia Milano, Trento and Trapani). The next challenge è on the parquet of Casale Monferrato, against Tortona, Sunday, March 9.
