Feliciano Lopez crystal clear on Jannik Sinner’s disqualification
Speaking at the microphones of Spanish daily "Marca", the director of the Madrid Masters 1000, among other topics, wanted to give his opinion on the three-month disqualification of Jannik Sinner issued by WADA for the Clostebol case.
"I said from the beginning that Jannik was innocent. He proved that he had no responsibility for his positivity. From this point of view I do not understand why he has to go three months without playing. I can understand that the tennis player è responsible for all his staff, but it seems to me that if a player is not at fault and did not cheat to improve his performance, he should not serve even one day of disqualification. I respect all opinions, but this è is mine and I think the sooner he comes back, the better it will be for all tennis" began the former Spanish tennis player.
"I have known several players with great charisma, but I think Alcaraz has something special at a time when in tennis everyone plays the same way. Physical preparation and power prevail over skill or strategy. Carlos, forò besides being a d'lite athlete and being a machine from the physical point of view, has versatility; and compared to his rivals è he is able to improvise his way out of difficulties" added the Madrid Masters 1000 director.
"I would be very happy to see Rafa in Madrid, this è his home and he knows it. We have had very good times here with him, he has always had a very good connection and chemistry with these people. Nadal will always be a welcome guest and he won't even need to notify us" Feliciano Lopez closed.
