Napoli smiles again: Fiorentina knocked out, Inter at -1

After almost a month and a half, Napoli returned to victory in Serie A and did so by narrowly beating Fiorentina (2-1) at the 'Diego Armando Maradona'. The Azzurri took the lead with Lukaku midway through the first half and doubled it with Raspadori on the hour mark, the Viola shortened it with Gudmundsson on 66’ but it was not enough for them to avoid their fourth defeat in the last five days of the championship.
After only ten minutes Raspadori, all alone in the penalty area, gobbled up the lead by kicking at De Gea. On 26’ Napoli took the lead with a tap-in by Lukaku after an imperfect rebound by De Gea on a right-footed shot from the edge by McTominay. Four minutes later Rasapdori came close to doubling the lead with a right-footed shot at the first post but De Gea was ready this time. On 32’ Kean eats the 1-1 header from two steps, two minutes later Di Lorenzo hits the crossbar with a great right-footed shot from the edge. At 38' De Gea’s miracle on Spinazzola’s left-footed shot.
In the second half è again Raspadori to make himself dangerous at 57' with a left-footed shot that forced De Gea to take refuge in a corner. At 60' the same Raspadori makes it 2-0 on a perfect invitation from Lukaku. Six minutes later però Fiorentina shortened the gap with Gudmundsson, who beat Meret with a beautiful right-footed shot from the edge, on a heel assist from Kean. In the final, Simeone gobbled up 3-1 on a counterattack.
Thanks to this victory, Napoli climbs to 60 points in the standings, moving back to -1 from Inter, while Fiorentina remains pinned at 45 points, in seventh place.
