Decisions in the aftermath of the sixth round of Serie A basketball

In the aftermath of the matches valid for the Serie A basketball championship played on March 8 and 9, the Italian Basketball Federation released the disciplinary sanctions against two clubs, Openjobmetis Varese (defeated 89-82 in Casale Monferrato against Tortona after overtime) and Pallacanestro Trieste (victorious 88-75 over Scafati), both of which are required to pay a fine.

Below are the'entity of the penalties and the reasons for them:
OPENJOBMETIS VARESE. Fine of Euro 667.00 for sporadic collective offenses, towards the referees [art. 27,4bc RG rec., art. 24,4 RG]
PALLACANESTRO TRIESTE 2004. Fine of Euro 667.00 for collective sporadic offenses, towards the referees [art. 27,4bc RG rec., art. 24,4 RG]

As far as the sports aspect is concerned, Trieste è after 21 days in the middle of the playoff zone, on the strength of 26 points from 13 wins. Varese è on the other hand, fighting for salvation, having so far collected 12 points thanks to 6 successes. The Giulians have had two consecutive successes in the league, Openjobmetis, on the other hand, has not won since last January 12.
