Flora Tabanelli more and more; in the history of freestyle

Flora Tabanelli continues to rewrite Italian freestyle history. After winning the Big Air World Cup, the Italian also won the overall Freeski Park&Pipe World Cup. The mathematical certainty of also finishing first in the overall ranking that takes into account the results of Big Air, SlopeStyle and HalfPipe è arrived on Tuesday.

Despite the failure to qualify for the SlopeStyle final in the final event in Tignes (France), in fact, Flora Tabanelli è unreachable for both France’s Tess Ledeux (also unqualified) and China’s Ailing Eileen Gu (absent) who will therefore not be able to surpass the 17-year-old from Emilia in the ranking drawn up on the basis of the best 6 seasonal placings.

The success in the overall ranking further enriches the season of Flora Tabanelli, who was able to collect during the winter her first personal achievement in the Big Air (Kreischberg, January 10) and SlopeStyle (Stoneham, February 22 – first success for an Italian) and to climb on four other occasions on the podium, with three second and one third place always in the Big Air.

All this while waiting to face the World Championships in St. Moritz, which will involve her from next March 19: it will be her first experience in a senior event after winning the junior world title in Big Air in 2023 and 2024 and silver in SlopeStyle in 2023. Also in 2024, Flora Tabanelli won two golds – Big Air and SlopeStyle – at the Youth Olympic Games in Gangwon.
