Errani and Vavassori mixed doubles champions in Indian Wells

Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori won the 2025 edition of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 mixed doubles invitational tournament. The Italian pair, in fact, bent the U.S. Mattek-Sands and Croatian Mate Pavic in the final, with a score of 6-7 6-3 10-8, after one hour and thirty-six minutes of play.

On their way, the two Italian players defeated Marcelo Arevalo and Timea Babos 6-3 6-7 10-7 in the opener. Then in the semifinals, they defeated in two sets 7-6 6-3 home favorite Desirae Krawczyk and Britain&#39s Neal Skupski, two-time champions at Wimbledon.

For Andrea Vavassori and Sara Errani, this is their second title in mixed doubles, following their title at last year’s Us Open, where the two Italians defeated the pair consisting of Taylor Towsend and Donald Young in the final with a score of 7-5 7-6.

"Today è was proof that mixed doubles canò work great, we and the audience both enjoyed it. I will propose è a mixed doubles circuit with a separate ranking, so è people could follow the pairs. Tennis è one of the few sports where men and women can play together, è a good thing" these are the warm statements of Andrea Vavassori.

"It was crazy, the stadium was full and the atmosphere beautiful. It was a good game, very hard-fought. I am so happy. These matches help to grow, gain confidence and improve. I really enjoy being with Jasmine and Andrea, they are tennis books to discover" these, instead, the words of Sara Errani.
