Melbourne GP: front row all McLaren, back Leclerc and Hamilton

It's Lando Norris’ first pole position of the new F1 season. On the Melbourne track, in fact, the McLaren driver set the best time of 1:15.096 mocking teammate Oscar Piastri by only 84 thousandths. Second row for Max Verstappen and George Russell, who è made himself the protagonist of a bad accident that put an early end to Q3.

Excellent fifth place for Yuki Tsunoda’s Racing Bulls, which finished ahead of Alex Albon’s Williams. Complicated first qualifying, however, for the Ferraris, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finishing seventh and eighth more than six tenths behind the pole-man. Completing the top 10 are Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz.

Finally, a first qualifying session to forget for the new Mercedes and Red Bull drivers Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Liam Lawson, who were both eliminated in Q1.
