The words of Max Verstappen

After a complicated Friday free practice session, Max Verstappen è managed to find more feeling with his Red Bull by finishing third in qualifying for the Australian GP. Speaking at a press conference, the Dutch driver, in addition to analyzing his performance, was blunt about his gap to the two McLarens, which will start on the front row with Lando Norris ahead of Oscar Piastri.

"Honestly I am quite surprised to be here after yesterday’s day. I felt confident and comfortable with the car, but è clearly we still lack some rhythm. Overall, however, I am satisfied with the laps I did in qualifying. I tried to bring out the best" began the Dutch driver.

"We worked on the car, trying to fine-tune the balance and other things, and the car came to life. In general it was quite easy to drive, but too slow. Today it was moreù fast, but it was still not enough" added the four-time world champion.

"Being still ahead of Ferrari and Mercedes è positive for us, but I don’t expect miracles. I don’t think we’re at the same level as the McLarens, but I’ll do my best and we’ll see what happens tomorrow" concluded Max Verstappen.
