Dragan Stojkovic defends Dusan Vlahovic and lashes out at Thiago Motta

A few days before the Nations League match against Austria, the coach of Serbia Dragan Stojkovic, among the various topics discussed in the press conference, bluntly expressed himself on the moment of difficulty being experienced by Dusan Vlahovic, who has seen his minutes considerably reduced in favor of newcomer Randal Kolo Muani. In the course of his analysis, the Technical Commissioner did not spare barbs against Thiago Motta and Juventus.

"I have a good and high opinion of Vlahovic and his qualities. There comes a time in soccer when there is a negative air in the club. I will not go into details or comment on why he is not playing and whether he should, instead, be employed more. This is Juventus business" began the Serbian coach.

"Every footballer has ups and downs during his career, we appreciate Dusan and consider him as one of the most important pieces of our game. Com me he will always play because here he has the opportunity to prove that what they are doing to him at Juve is not good. Vlahovic represents the wave of the new generation that should play for Serbia for the next ten years. He needs the help of his teammates so that his qualities can be brought out" added Dragan Stojkovic.

Over the course of this season, Dusan Vlahovic has collected 34 appearances in all competitions with 14 goals to his credit.
