No commitments to Switzerland for Simon Sohm

As if the negative results of the last period were not enough, Parma has to reckon with the injury of Simon Sohm, who will desert Switzerland international commitments due to physical problems. Announcing the midfielder&#39s stop was the Swiss federation itself, which also announced at the same time another absence due to injury, that of Benfica&#39s Zeki Amdouni.

"Zeki Amdouni and Simon Sohm will not be present in the upcoming international matches against Northern Ireland and Luxembourg due to injuries,” the note reads. Both are unable to participate in the training camp that began Monday in Portugal due to muscle ailments. No other players have been named so far. The team è thus consists of 24 players".

24 years old to be turned next April 11, Simon Sohm è one of Parma’s regular starters, and has been deployed from the 1' in almost every league match this year by both Fabio Pecchia and Christian Chivu: exceptions are Lecce-Parma on Sept. 21 and Parma-Cagliari on Sept. 30, where he è subbed in during the second half.

The only match missed in full by the Swiss player è was last Saturday’s match against Monza, given his one-round disqualification for added cautions. The player will soon return to Emilia, where the medical staff of the Ducal club will assess the exact extent of the injury. Parma's next match is scheduled for March 31, at home to Hellas Verona.
