Inter is still betting on Simone Inzaghi

If on the sporting level the concentration è maximum on the three competitions in which Inter is still in the running (and in the summer there will also be the new Club World Cup), from the point of view of planning we are reasoning in the long term, especially with regard to technical guidance. Speaking about this to the microphones of 'Sky Sport', CEO Beppe Marotta does not mention any other names except for the one who on the Nerazzurri bench there'è already, that is; Simone Inzaghi.

"The renewal of Inzaghi? It's a subject we will discuss calmly when the ball is rolling,” Marotta explained.

The prerequisites to continue together for much longer are there, we have grown so much with him and a great symbiosis has è been created. We will renew at the right time: everyone at Inter believes in this sports project, we can move forward together".

Inter is currently first in the league, in the semifinals of the Coppa Italia and in the quarterfinals of the Champions League: "Triplete? We are ambitious and aim for the maximum, if we do it, it is not out of arrogance,” said the Nerazzurri executive. “At the right time so far we have always been there, but if someone will be better than us we will congratulate him".

Simone Inzaghi began his coaching career in Lazio’s youth ranks in 2010, arriving in the first team in the final of the 2015-2016 season, replacing the exonerated Stefano Pioli. He coached the biancoceleste first team until 2021, winning an Italian Cup and two Italian Super Cups, before moving to Inter where he won two more national cups, three Super Cups and the second-star Scudetto in 2024. He also led the Nerazzurri to the 2023 Champions League final, which they lost 1-0 to Manchester City. His contract, renewed last summer, expires in June 2026.
