Nations League 2024-2025: Denmark-Portugal, the likely lineups

The Parken Stadium in Copenhagen will host the UEFA Nations League 2024-2025 quarterfinal first leg between Denmark and Portugal on Thursday evening, March 20. The Danes qualified for the final stage of League A thanks to second place in Group 4, behind Spain and ahead of Serbia and Switzerland; Portugal, on the other hand, finished first ahead of Croatia, Scotland and Poland in Group 1.
Coaching the Danes is Brian Riemer, technical commissioner since last Oct. 24: the former coach of, among others, FC Copenhagen, Brentford and Anderlecht will focus on an offensive lineup, with Isaksen, Wind and Damsgaard in the attacking trident and a three-man midfield with Norgaard, Hjulmand and Christian Eriksen.
Portugal, on the other hand, is under Roberto Martinez, who took over as coach on Jan. 9, 2023. The indestructible Cristiano Ronaldo will still be the Lusitanians’ offensive point man, with Rafa Leao, Bruno Fernandes and Pedro Neto behind him. Midfield entirely of PSG brand, with Joao Neves and Vitinha entrusted with the construction of the game.
