It&#8217s undoubtedly a historic season for Federica Brignone, who, after winning the overall and downhill World Cups, also made the Giant Cup her own, thanks to her second place in the Sun Valley event. Speaking to the official channels of the “FISI”, the skier from Valle d’Aosta spoke bluntly about her extraordinary achievements.

“I could have done a little more in the second run, but I am delighted with the result. It’s the first time in my career that I cross the finish line already cheering. The giant cup was another of my dreams and it came true. I have always made too many mistakes in the past, but negi last years I have always been there close. This year I kept my head down trying to win as many races as possible” began the Italian skier.

“In the first run I thought I had thrown everything away, but ours is a difficult sport and you always play on the edge of hundredths. I would have liked to win today as well, however, at one point I tried not to make mistakes and not to overdo it. I didn’t care about the result anymore. I am really happy with the cup, my third of the season. I can only be satisfied” added the Milan native.

“It was a crazy season for me. This has been the most difficult cup: you have to do two runs in the day, where it is crucial to always be on the ball. The’other day I lost the challenge for the SuperG, however, it was still beautiful. I live for these moments. The path made with my brother Davide has improved me as a person and we go forward together. For me it is very important” concluded Federica Brignone.
