Slalom at Sun Valley: Federica Brignone has made up her mind

Federica Brignone officially renounces the slalom in Sun Valley and puts an end to her incredible season, which culminated in winning the overall World Cup, the giant slalom and the downhill.
After finishing second in the giant slalom, in fact, the Aosta Valley skier decided not to take part in the’last race between the narrow poles, thus ending her year with an impressive 1594 points, setting an all-time record for Italy.
For the Milan native, therefore, it is time to enjoy a well-deserved rest, waiting to return with the’intention of arriving in the best possible condition at the next Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina in 2026.
In addition to the three Cups she won, Federica Brignone also took home a gold in the Giant Slalom and a silver in the Super G during the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Saalbach.
