Virtus Bologna blown away by Red Star: Dusko Ivanovic raises alarm

The Red Star strolls over Virtus Bologna in the 31st round of the Euroleague. The Serbian team, in fact, defeated the Bologna team with a peremptory 88-52, at the end of a game dominated from start to finish.
The beginning was immediately horror for the black vures, who suffered in partial of 11-1. As time passes, however, things do not improve, and the host team closes the first quarter ahead 28-11.
In the second quarter, the gap between the two teams becomes even wider, as Red Star continues to maintain good shooting percentages reaching halftime up by 24 lengths.
The score does not change in the second half either, with Virtus Bologna unable to be effective on offense and disorderly on defense, reaching the last quarter down by more than 30 points. In the last 10 minutes, it is business as usual for Red Star to manage the large lead until the final buzzer.
Intervening in a press conference, Virtus Bologna head coach Dusko Ivanovic bluntly analyzed the heavy defeat they suffered: “Congratulations to Red Star, they played really well proving that last week’s win against Olympiacos was no fluke. They played really well with their little guys, moved the ball well, found solutions on defense and found a lot of good shots. I believe and think they are Final Four caliber the way they play now.
On the other hand we had a definitely dismal performance. We have several problems and we have to find solutions as soon as possible. We only have the championship left, but we have to play seriously the games we have left in this Euroleague season.
Today’s attitude is far from what this team can offer. We lacked fighting spirit and that is what bothers us the most”.
