Roma, Claudio Ranieri drastic on Gian Piero Gasperini

So Claudio Ranieri in the press conference two days before the challenge with Lecce: “You can exclude all the coaches who have come out for the future, so also Gasperini, he will not be the coach of Roma. Everyone I have talked to has not come out”.

“The deadline to know the name? When the president decides to tell you. I will then tell you what we expect and how we should help him. If I stay we would lose another year. I am not the future of Roma, whoever comes will be and the sooner he comes the better” he added.

“The new coach will be chosen by me and Ghisolfi, then we will give the list to the president who will decide among those names”, Ranieri then said. Asked how much the mood of the square might affect the choice, he instead said, “It is important but we know that the square loves those who do well for Roma.”

“It may be that at first the name is not appreciated, although I think so. Whoever comes, however, must do well and must know that for the first two markets we cannot make crazy expenditures,” Ranieri concluded.
