Zverev-Alcaraz pair trudges on: Jannik Sinner is no match for them

Another rather resounding misstep by Zverev. The German’s adventure at the Miami Masters 1000 is already over. The tournament’s No. 1 seed was beaten by Fils in three sets: 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 the match’s partials.
Zverev ended his tour between South America and the United States in a bad way, throwing away a chance to try to undermine SinnerThe pair from the top position in the ATP rankings. In five tournaments played since the Australian Open (from Buenos Aires to Miami), the German has recovered only 260 points from Sinner. Too little to dream of overtaking.
He is certainly not doing any better Alcaraz who, in Miami, stopped in the 32nd final at the hands of Goffin. The Spaniard is in a very difficult moment, confirmed by the words released after the knockout with Goffin himself: “I thought too much about his game and not mine”. Statements that testify to a rather obvious state of confusion and bewilderment.
Both Zverev and Alcaraz are not taking advantage of the big chance they have at their disposal, namely Sinner forced into the pits by the well-known suspension. The Italian outfielder is always pinned at 10,330 points (a quota reached in January by beating Zverev himself in the Australian Open final) but, for the moment, no one seems to be able to bother him, even though he is stationary.
