Ligue 1 2024-2025: Strasbourg-Lyon, the likely formations
Archived the commitments of the national teams, the clubs return to the field and they do so also in the French Ligue 1, where the 27th round of the championship will be opened by the challenge between Strasbourg and Lyon: a match decidedly important in European terms, since OL is fifth, in the Europa League zone, with 45 points while Racing is seventh, just outside the cup qualifying zones, with two points less than the guests on Friday night.
Coached by Liam Rosenior, Strasbourg (which has won five of its last six matches, drawing the other) will try to continue its good momentum despite the injury absences of Diarra, Omobamidele and Ouattara. On the field, the 3-4-2-1 is expected to be used, with Emegha the main reference in attack, with Lamarechal and Nanasi behind him.
On the other side Paulo Fonseca (who will not be on the bench because of the very long disqualification that will prevent him from following any Ligue 1 club until November 30) wants to give continuity to the positive moment both in France and in the Europa League. The injured Fofana and Kumbedi will not be there, in attack space will be given to Lacazette’s experience with Nuamah, Tolisso and Mikautadze on the three-quarter.
