Cesare Prandelli, resounding comeback to national team

Only the official announcement is missing, but Cesare Prandelli, 11 years after the end of his stint as coach of the national team at the 2014 World Cup, will return to the Azzurro.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former coach of among others Roma and Fiorentina, who as coach led Italy to a European Championship final in 2012, is expected to assume the role of technical director.
Contacts would already be well advanced and the appointment is expected to become official in June. Mario Beretta, on the other hand, is expected to succeed Demetrio Albertini as president of the technical sector.
