Marc Marquez and Davide Tardozzi’s advice: the backstory in the Ducati box

Although having dominated this start of the season, Marc Marquez does not want to give in to easy enthusiasms and confirms, at the microphones of ‘Sky Sports’ after the success in the Sprint of the MotoGp in Texas, that he needs to work even harder to keep up with his rivals, Alex Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia above all.
In particular, in the short race at the Circuit of the Americas, we saw a more cautious number 93, especially after a big risk taken at the start of the race. “Why did you seem to have less of an advantage than in the first few races? Because I listened to the advice of Davide Tardozzi – explained, Marc, revealing an interesting backstory – He told me that having a one-second gap or having three makes little difference, the points are the same”.
“Tardozzi has great experience, it is important to listen to him – added Marquez, talking about the current team manager -. There’s also to think about Sunday’s race, I expect it to be more tense than today. And then races will happen where it will go less well, for whatever reason: it can happen tomorrow itself, in Qatar or Jerez. Nothing is decided”.
After finishing third in the 2024 MotoGp World Championship, his first in Ducati but with the Team Gresini bike, Marc Marquez switched to the factory team, starting as best he could: the Catalan, in fact, took pole position, victory in the Sprint and Grand Prix win in both Thailand and Argentina, and in Texas he is already at two out of three, with only the one Gp left to complete the en plein.
