MotoGp, Ducati: Pecco Bagnaia outspoken about battle with Marc Marquez

The Sprint Race of the MotoGp in Texas showed not only the “usual” Marc Marquez, able to close once again to the first place, but also a Pecco Bagnaia decidedly more arrembante, so as to scare not a little the Catalan in the first spectacular laps, full of overtaking and counter-overtaking. Running, moreover, also a big risk, just for a smear of the Catalan.
.
“I am making great starts all weekend, today I did from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2″17, something incredible – said Bagnaia to ‘Sky Sport’ -. I was on the inside and I said ‘I am going to try it’ it was fun. It was a little bit’less so when Marc took that skid and risked falling: I am convinced he would have dragged me on the ground too, if he had fallen. I was too close”.
Bagnaia expects to fight with the number 93 also in the race on Sunday: “I was behind the two Marquez and I understood, for example, that it is not in the braking that I have to recover, but in other areas. More than anything the choice of the tire behind will be decisive, it could make the difference for better or worse. It has to be chosen carefully”.
Although the distance from the top of the standings has gone up again, reaching 36 points, Bagnaia is convinced that it is too early to make calculations: “Last year I lost important points in situations where I should have handled the bike better – he admitted -. I am learning to adapt better to situations, for now I think I am succeeding well”.
