VR46: Fabio Di Giannantonio ready to give battle to Marc Marquez

After finishing second in pre-qualifying in Austin, Fabio Di Giannantonio managed to repeat himself in qualifying as well, finishing just 101 thousandths behind pole-man Marc Marquez. Speaking to the official Pertamina Enduro VR46 channels, the Italian centaur spoke bluntly ahead of the Sprint Race.

“Today was a super day, I think we did an incredible job. The goal was to be on the front row and we achieved it. We did an unbelievable lap, we know that on this track Marc has something extra and it was important to stay close to him to give him some bother’s. I will try to do the same thing in the Sprint” debuted the centaur number 49.

“Even in the Gp I will have to try to stay with him and put pressure on him. I didn’t realize that the jury gave me my time back, I would have been very angry if they took it away. For the Sprint Race I have no particular plans, but I will be ultra-offensive” added Fabio Di Giannantonio.

At the team’s official channels, Fabio Morbidelli also spoke, who did not hide his satisfaction with fifth place: “It was a good qualifying, we made an improvement over the previous two qualifying sessions and this is positive. We start from fifth place, the second row is a good position for both the Sprint and the race. We will try to do a good job, yesterday’s conditions were not good so we don’t have much information about the race pace. Now we will work with the team to find the best setting for the Sprint”.
