Marc Marquez downplays his 0 at the Austin GP, where he ran into his first mistake as Ducati factory rider: “I am still happy, because I was going strong and the level was always that. I cut the curb too much, I know why I crashed and that’s the important thing” he told Sky.
“Despite everything we are one point from the top. I apologize to the team, because I made a mistake today. I am very happy for Alex, who is leading the standings. But tomorrow is Monday, I start from scratch as I am always doing this season”.
On the initial choice of slicks: “I chose to line up with rain to not risk it, but with 7 minutes to go I asked if the dry bike was ready and when there were 2 to go I tried to play the joker…”.
