Inter: Acerbi’s renewal is already there and the clause is no longer a concern
February 10, 1988, which is Acerbi’s birth date. Counting in hand, the Nerazzurri defender is already 37 years old. Yet, every time he takes the field, he does his duty admirably. Often, the opposing team’s striker doesn’t combine anything if he is marked by Acerbi.
If coach Spalletti considers him too old for the national team, Inter is of a different opinion. As is well known, the defender already has a deal for next season but with a very clear clause: the Nerazzurri club has the option of invalidating the deal at any time if it is not convinced by the deal.
Well, in light of Acerbi’s latest performance, the feeling is that that clause will not be exercised by Inter. Since his return from injury, the’former, among others, of Lazio and Sassuolo, has offered performances of the highest level, returning to be one of the pillars of the team coached by Inzaghi.
It now seems certain that, even next year, Acerbi will wear the Nerazzurri jersey. Besides what he can still give on the field, there’s more to it than that. Acerbi is one of the leaders of the Nerazzurri locker room and, above all, he is someone who knows what it means to play in the Nerazzurri jersey. In short, the’agreement between the parties is not in question at all.
