Anna Kalinskaya flies to South Carolina in the hunt for answers: after the positive signs that came in the Miami Tournament, the Russian tennis player wants to grow further at the Credit One Charleston Open, the WTA 500 tournament that opens the season of the women’s clay court circuit. The draw was held in the past few hours and has already set the course for the Muscovite.

World No. 33 is the No. 14 seed in the tournament, will benefit from a bye and will make her debut directly in the second round against the winner of the match between Ukraine’s Kalinina and a player coming from the qualifiers.

The previous record between Kalinskaya and Kalinina is four, with two wins on each side. Should she advance to the round, the Muscovite could face the No. 2 seed, the Australian Open winner Madison Keys.

The Russian tennis player&#8217s last participation in the Charleston tournament was in 2023: on that occasion Anna had managed to reach the quarterfinals, where she withdrew in her match against Ons Jabeur.
