During a speech to “La politica nel pallone” on Rai Gr Parlamento, Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi, among the various topics discussed, wanted to express his feelings ahead of the historic Coppa Italia semifinal that awaits his team against Vincenzo Italiano’s surprising Bologna.

“Of the historical importance of this match we will realize it over the years, now we are a bit’distracted by the events of the championship, this summer we will value the extraordinary path made by these boys to get to this match. Three away wins against three provincial capitals is something out of the ordinary. We have had so many important dates, we have won in all the important stadiums of Italy’Italy” began the Empoli president.

“I am not very attached to the result and I do not have too many illusions. The boys will prepare it in the proper way to win and so will the coach. With this method we won with Torino, Fiorentina and Juventus. I am more oriented to say ‘let&#8217s make a good impression, so that we can gain confidence for the next championship match with Cagliari. We have a very difficult end of the season ahead of us. For us this match is an event and a celebration, maybe for Bologna the Coppa Italia is a concrete goal. It has Champions League depth and is confirming itself better than last year’s. We hope to make a good impression, as a bad performance could also affect the next championship challenge” added the patron of the Tuscan club.

“There&#8217s great excitement from all our components, the city lives this eve in a sober way, there&#8217s not that excess of enthusiasm also because the team is experiencing a complicated moment in the league, but we are proud to host the Bolognese fans, who will be in the majority. They will be able to experience a beautiful day of sports” concluded Fabrizio Corsi.
