Bad news for Inter arrived on Sunday, March 30. Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi suffered an injury that will force him to miss the Coppa Italia derby against AC Milan, scheduled for Wednesday, April 2. As well as the Champions League match against Bayern Munich. The injury, found in the adductors of the left thigh, was diagnosed following clinical and instrumental examinations at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano. The examinations showed a muscle resentment that will force Taremi to be out of action for at least two weeks.

The striker, who was already absent in Inter’s win against Udinese, has been forced to stop for a period that will keep him out of two crucial matches for the Nerazzurri team. The club, via an official statement, updated on the player&#8217s condition: “Mehdi Taremi underwent clinical and instrumental examinations that revealed a resentment in the adductors of the left thigh. The situation will be re-evaluated next week” wrote l’Inter.

With the absence of Taremi, Inter is facing a roster already decimated by other injuries. Lautaro Martínez, one of the main strikers, is out due to a muscle problem. While Denzel Dumfries suffered an injury during the last match against Atalanta’Atalanta. With few strikers available, Simone Inzaghi will have to rely on alternatives Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa. Arnautovic recently proved his worth by scoring the only goal in the win against Udinese.

Inzaghi is still hoping for the return of Lautaro Martínez for the Champions match against Bayern Munich, scheduled for Tuesday, April 8. The situation remains delicate for Inter, which will have to deal with a tight schedule and a reduced roster.
