Also suspended, Jannik Sinner continues to make tennis history. The Italian tennis player made it to 43 consecutive weeks at the top of the ATP rankings, and this Monday he equaled another past champion, Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten.

The three-time Roland Garros winner was joined by the South Tyrolean, who is already certain to reach 47 consecutive weeks as world number one. Now Sinner’s next goal is the legend Jim Courier, 58 weeks as number one on the planet.

The tennis player from San Candido is aiming for an all-time record: the record for consecutive weeks as world number one since he first became one. The record is currently held by Novak Djokovic, at 53.
