Serie A 2025-2026: here are the start and end dates of the new season

Through an official statement, the Lega Serie A has announced the start and end dates of the next championship, which will start the weekend of August 23-24 and end on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

“Following the resolution of the League Council of March 31, 2025 – it reads -, the Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A announces that the 2025/2026 Serie A Enilive Championship will start on Sunday, August 24, 2025 (with advances on August 23, 2025) and will end on Sunday, May 24, 2026”.

The last day has been set for May 24 to allow time for the national teams to prepare for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.

L’Inter Milan is the defending champion of Serie A, which has seen three different winners in the last three editions: in 2022-2023 it was Napoli that triumphed, while the 2021-2022 championship was won by AC Milan.
