Premier League 2024-2025: Newcastle-Brenftord, the likely lineups

St. James’Park hosts, on Wednesday evening, an important challenge for Newcastle United and Brenftord’s European ambitions, with the Black and Whites having an opportunity to reach the Champions League zone with a success and the Bees instead able to at least reopen conference talk with three more points in the standings.
The Magpies last took to the field, last March 16, in the victorious Carabao Cup final that brought a top national trophy back to the Tyne shore after a full 70 years. Coach Eddie Howe will most likely field an offensive 4-3-3, with Murphy, Isak and Barnes up front, while Sandro Tonali is confirmed in midfield.
On the other side, 4-3-3 also for Thomas Frank, who will focus on a physical attack consisting of Wissa in the center, Mbeumo on the right and Schade on the left. The stated goal is to give continuity to last March 15’s success at home to Bournemouth, where Wissa scored although the match winner was Norgaard, a right midfielder whose employment is also expected on Wednesday evening.
Probable lineups
NEWCASTLE UNITED (4-3-3): Pope; Trippier, Schär, Burn, Livramento; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Barnes. All. Howe.
BRENTFORD (4-3-3): Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Lewis-Potter; Norgaard, Janelt, Damsgaard; Mbeumo, Wissa, Schade. All. Frank.
