Monza: Alessandro Nesta dry on the'resignation hypothesis
Alessandro Nesta is very harsh on his Monza, fresh off a new home defeat in the Lombard derby against Como. Despite the 3-1 Larian, however, the biancorosso coach made it clear in the aftermath of the match that he has no intention of giving up until the moment when the arithmetic will not definitively write the final word on the salvation hopes of the Brianza team.
“We started very well, but at the first problem we crumble: we can not take two goals like that – stressed Nesta at the end of the game in Monza -. The standings and the closeness to relegation affect. We apologized to the fans because once again we failed to win”.
Nesta did, however, want to thank some of the protagonists of his Monza, avoiding any other kind of controversy: “I have players who pulled too much, I will always thank guys like Kyriakopoulos, Pedro Pereira, Birindelli. About the referees I don’t care, I don’t even know who directed today. I have so many other problems to think about”.
Finally, a nod to his immediate future at the helm of Monza. “It has never happened to me to lose so much. Resignation? I don’t even think about it. I never quit, if we sink I sink with others”, Nesta cut it short.
