Jannik Sinner ready to return: trainer sounds the charge

During an interview given to the microphones of the “Corriere della Sera”, the athletic trainer of Jannik Sinner Marco Panichi spoke bluntly about the process of approaching the South Tyrolean to the Internazionali d’Italia, the first tournament he will take part in after his three-month disqualification for the Clostebol case.
“From the day we learned of the stop, our thoughts were solely on trying to make the most of this period. We knew we could do a good job, studied and planned. It is not that we were happy about the suspension of Jannik, however, we tried to look at it in a positive way” began the athletic trainer.
“We have turned micro-cycles into macro sessions of work, we have gone into detail and detail, we have spent a lot of time on the’acquisition of data on Jannik, applying training modules to put him in a position to make another major leap forward. From Rome onward, this work will have to bear fruit” added the staff member of the world number one.
“During the forced stop Sinner is discovering new things, which stimulate him. When we go around tournaments it is impossible to devote himself to anything other than training, match and recovery. What is more, Jannik cannot go around without being recognized and stopped. In these three months he has also taken time off for himself and rediscovered himself. I am very happy: mentally he is transformed and in Rome he will return with a’huge motivation and an’important freshness” concluded Marco Panichi.
