Monte Carlo, Lorenzo Musetti vs. Matteo Berrettini: two previous records

This afternoon will be staged the all blue derby between Lorenzo Musetti and Matteo Berrettini, valid for the round of 16 of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000. The Carrara native is coming off a comeback victory over Jiri Lehecka, while the Roman surprisingly eliminated world number two Alexander Zverev.
The match is scheduled to take place on center court (‘Court Ranier III’) of the ‘Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters’: it starts at 11 a.m. with Draper-Davidovich Fokina, followed by Alcaraz-Altmaier, then it will be the turn of the number two and three d’Italia.
There are two previous matches between Musetti and Berrettini: the first dates back to the final of the’ATP 250 in Naples, when the Tuscan won in two sets (7-6 6-2), while the second, more recent, smiled on the Roman, who won in two sets in the semifinal of the’ATP 250 in Stuttgart.
“Matteo is a friend, a teammate with whom I have shared many emotions, such as winning the Davis Cup. It will be a special match, not easy, but the goal is to win” Musetti told Sky Sports microphones ahead of the challenge.
