There is bad news about Jorge Martin’s condition. The Spaniard, who crashed at the Qatar Grand Prix (and inadvertently hit by Fabio Di Giannantonio), has suffered the fracture of as many as 11 ribs. The new examinations he underwent, as reported by Spanish media Marca, showed more fractured ribs (the first diagnosis spoke of six).

The good news is that damage to the brain, cervical spine, and abdominal organs has been ruled out. Also at the level of the pneumothorax was diagnosed, in the new examinations he underwent, a minimal pleural inflammation. The Aprilia rider will remain under observation for a few days before being discharged.

Martinator made a post on Instagram to update fans on his physical condition: “I thank God because what happened to me could have been much worse. I will try to keep you informed”, his words.

At this point, it seems highly unlikely that Jorge Martin will be at the start of the next GP, scheduled for April 25-27 in Jerez. The 2025 season is off to a real uphill start for the Spanish star. As the reigning World Champion he hoped to defend his title on the track but, at the moment, bad luck is pelting him in every way.
