The’former coach of Roger Federer, Paul Annacone, in an interview with Tennis Channel spoke about the dualism between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, which could characterize the coming years of world tennis. The Spaniard after a complicated period returned to victory at the Monte Carlo Masters 1000, confirming that when he is on a good day he reaches peaks that are difficult for other tennis players to reach.

“We all like to draw hasty conclusions when great players like Carlos Alcaraz encounter obstacles, and we forget how young the Spaniard is. And we also often forget the full dynamic of his personality, both as a person and as a player” are Annacone’s words.

The’tennis coach sees Sinner further ahead for the moment: “Carlos will be more erratic in results and performance than Sinner. He will have ups and downs to a greater extent”.

“The top level of the Spaniard in my opinion is a little bit higher, but I also think the average level of play is a little bit lower. So we might see a few more defeats from Alcaraz, but I don&#8217t mind: it will be an electric challenge”.
