Juventus: Douglas Luiz’s future is now sealed: it will be goodbye

Both with Thiago Motta and now with Tudor, Douglas Luiz has remained on the sidelines. In fact, he has never been seen, partly because of many, too many injuries that have severely affected his season. The Brazilian has to be considered a flop. And to say that, last summer, he was welcomed with great enthusiasm.

If Koopmeiners, Giuntoli&#8217s other prestigious purchase, seems to have come unstuck with the change of coach, so it is not with the’former Aston Villa. The 50 million spent to get him weighs heavily in light of the opaque performances offered on the field.

To date, he has collected 22 total appearances (only six starting from the first minute), with zero goals to his credit. Tudor, at least in words, hasn&#8217t discarded him: “He&#8217s a quality player, with a crazy shot and vision for the game” he said some time ago. It remains to be seen whether he will get a chance to shine in these latest outings.

In the meantime, the Bianconeri club is looking at every option for the summer’s season. His farewell is very likely. He could be used as a bargaining chip in some operation, perhaps to get to Newcastle’s Tonali. Douglas Luiz still has many admirers in the Premier League and, as a result, someone will come forward. The probalem is not to lose too much of the initial investment.
