Intervening at the official F1 channels, McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, among other topics, addressed his feelings ahead of the weekend in Jeddah and the rainbow fight with teammate Lando Norris.

“I am very happy with the victory in Sakhir and the way I’ve achieved it. It’s been a great start to the season and last week was really special and I&#8217m very happy with both the car and the work the team is doing. I think the best way to approach the championship is to play each race to the best of our ability without thinking too much about the pressure” began the McLaren driver.

“I think mental toughness is one of my main strengths. It’s something I think can make a difference and something I try to work on daily. Even after the mistake in Melbourne, the next few days were painful, but the fact that I had such a strong weekend and was very competitive gave me even more courage for the next races rather than disappointment for the mistake I made” added Oscar Piastri.

At the official F1 channels, teammate Lando Norris was also keen to express his feelings ahead of the next round: “I am looking forward to driving here in Jeddah again. It’s a really fast track and we also have a car of the same type, so we are aiming to finish this race in the best possible way, which concludes the first hat trick of the season. I’m proud of how we started. We celebrated the victory in Bahrain, as always, but we immediately focused on Saudi Arabia.

From my point of view, I feel good and can’t wait to start in earnest. To do my best, I am forced to drive in a different way. A way I am not used to and this is not at all normal for me”.
