Intervening at the microphones of “Sky Sports UK” on the sidelines of FP1 of the Jeddah GP, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, among other topics covered, wanted to comment in no uncertain terms on the recent rumors regarding the possible farewell of Max Verstappen to the Austrian team at the end of the season.

“C’is a perfect word to describe what is happening and it is noise. There’s a lot of confusion outside the team, but Max reaffirmed his commitment in the press conference and we are focused on making the car faster. Verstappen is part of this and everything else is just speculation. Next year he will absolutely be a Red Bull driver” began the British team principal.

“It was not a crisis summit, but we simply met with the engineers to discuss what happened in Bahrain. We do a lot of meetings to discuss things that happen in a logical way, because you can always find new solutions. Of course, we are not where we want to be and we had some difficulties with the car that we are working hard on. We know what these difficulties depend on and we will introduce a series of updates within the next few races to solve them in a short time” added the Red Bull manager.

“People always have something to worry about, but we as a team are committed to solving the problems with the car. As for Max’s future, it is not a topic of discussion” concluded Christian Horner.
