After the words of Christian Horner, came also the retort of the team principal of the’Aston Martin Andy Cowell, who, to the official F1 channels, commented bluntly on the rumors related to the possible recruitment of Max Verstappen ahead of next season.

“We are incredibly lucky to already have two highly experienced drivers like Fernando and Lance under contract for the next two years. This means that I can focus all my efforts on helping to improve the team&#8217s art of building fast cars” began the team principal of Aston Martin.

“What I am saying is that in my mind there&#8217s only a need to improve the company in order to be able to give Stroll and Fernando a competitive car in 2026” added Andy Cowell.

Despite his contract expiring in 2028, Max Verstappen, in the event of an unsuccessful year with Red Bull, could also consider an early farewell. Should this willingness be confirmed by the driver himself, then Aston Martin and Mercedes, above all, could try to sink the blow.
