Saudi Arabian GP, Oscar Piastri makes a wish

Oscar Piastri, winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix d’Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah circuit, has become the new leader of the Formula 1 world championship.

After his victory a week ago in Bahrain, the Australian confirmed that he is a serious rival for both his teammate in McLaren Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, who still managed to get the most out of his Red Bull.

Here are the words of Piastri at the end of the race at the microphones of David Coulthard: “Now I would like a sofa – joked the McLaren driver – it was a hard and difficult race but I am happy.”

“I made the difference at the start, I managed to get into Turn 1 (flanking Verstappen, who to stay ahead of him cut the corner and suffered a penalty, ed.) and that was enough for me.”

“I am very happy with all the work we did at the start and also in the race, especially after the pit stop, all the things were right, although Max stayed far too close to me”.
