Giulio Ciccone won the first stage of the Tour of The Alps, crossing the finish line in San Lorenzo Dorsino ahead of Austrian Felix Gall and Frenchman Paul Seixas, both riders of Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale.

“I spoke yesterday with Sinner – unveiled the Lidl-Trek rider after the race, in statements reported by Eurosport -. He was telling me that I was the only one in our group of friends who had not yet won this year, since he won the Australian Open and Giovinazzi in Imola. So here I am winning too, we’re even! ”

“It’s nice and important to have friends like them, who know what it means to sacrifice so much on a sporting level. We spur each other on, especially mentally” concluded Ciccone.

Jannik Sinner, among others, celebrated Ciccone’s success via a story posted on his Instagram profile in which he wrote: “Mamma Miaaa”.
