Carlos Alcaraz extends his hand to Jannik Sinner

On the sidelines of the Laureus World Sports Awards, Carlos Alcaraz also spoke about Jannik Sinner’s situation: “In the end, it’s a shame that Jannik is left out of the circuit. He is number one in the world, so obviously among the best players in the world”.
“Having him out is not good for tennis, for tournaments, for players because it allows us to give 100 percent. Ours is a great rivalry that hasn’t been there for a few months but will be available again soon. I hope we can play against him again and that we can continue to enjoy our tennis” said Carlos Alcaraz.
Jannik Sinner is dominating the ATP rankings even without playing, and is now in his 46th week in a row as world number one, equaling a record held by Rafael Nadal.
The ATP number 1 ranked player has begun preparation toward the Internationals and is training at the Monte Carlo Country Club. Sinner had been out of action since Feb. 9, 2025.
