Marin Cilic gets out of line on Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz

Jannik Sinner is dominating the ATP rankings even without playing, and is now in his 46th week in a row as world number one, equaling a record held by Rafael Nadal: according to colleague Marin Cilic, however, the strongest man on the planet is Carlos Alcaraz, at least in his opinion.
“Who do I choose between Jannik and Alcaraz? Carlos, I like his style more: he is an aggressive player, very athletic and with impressive creativity” are the words of the Croatian tennis player in an interview with puntodebreak. “Such aggressive players always opt for maximum speed: the feeling is similar to driving a Formula 1 car. For Carlos, having this style of play is both a gift and a curse”.
Cilic currently makes no comparisons with previous generations: “We now have Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who are still very young, but they are progressing well. They are leading the way, it is a new generation, so we will see. Only the future will tell if it will be a better generation than the previous one or not”.
The strongest of all time according to Cilic remains “Novak Djokovic. He is, absolutely, with the numbers in hand but I have a lot of respect for both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. In the end we are talking about 24, 22 and 20 Slams, all three impressive”.
