Matteo Berrettini wins again

In the pouring rain in Phoenix, Matteo Berrettini doesn’t stop. Despite weather adversity, the Roman tennis player successfully finished his second-round match at the "Arizona Tennis Classic".

Berrettini, 27, currently ranked No. 154 in the ATP rankings, gained access to the tournament through a wild card. After a six-and-a-half-month absence due to a right ankle injury suffered at the US Open, he made his return to the court and beat Frenchman Gaston, number 85 ATP. In his second-round match, Berrettini defeated Arthur Cazaux, ranked number 77 and eighth seed, in three hard-fought sets with a final score of 3-6, 6-1, 7-5. È managed to come back from 3-5 down in the deciding set, demonstrating his determination and resilience.

Rain created some disruptions in the tournament schedule, which è was reduced to only three matches on Friday. However, Berrettini è is set to return to the court today to face another French opponent, Terence Atmane, 22, ranked No. 136 in the ATP rankings. There are no previous meetings between the two players.
