Inter-Milan: Conceiçao called upon to solve a rebus in attack
A Milan is preparing to play the most important match of its season. Today (21:00), the Derby valid for the return leg of the Italian Cup semifinal is staged. We restart from the’1-1 of the’first leg. The Rossoneri want to save the season by trying to win the trophy (it would be the second of the season).
In terms of starting lineup, Conceiçao seems determined to continue insisting on the three-man defense. In fact, the Diavolo will take the field with the 3-4-3 form. In front of the confirmed Maignan, Pavlovic, Gabbia and Tomori will act.
On the flanks, still trust Theo Hernandez and Jimenez. In the middle of the field, always Reijnders and Fofana. The offensive trident, however, should be formed by Leao, Pulisic and Abraham. The Englishman, in fact, seems the favorite to play from the first minute, although there would be a runoff with Jovic (starter against Atalanta). It should be remembered that Abraham is the’author of the Rossoneri’s goal in the first leg match (Calhanoglu’s equalizer).
Gimenez, now fully recovered from injury, will be on the bench, ready to take over should his contribution be needed (the Mexican, to date, has scored three goals in a Rossoneri shirt). Bench also for Joao Felix, the’other prestigious January purchase. Also watch out for Walker, who is scapegoating to be able to take the field after being sidelined by injury.
