Another success of the season for Tadej Pogacar. The Slovenian champion also triumphed wearing the world champion’s jersey at the Fleche Wallonne.

Pogacar won by breakaway by seeding the peloton on the Huy wall, the race’s terrible final ramp, which one of the Belgian Ardennes classics.

At 10 seconds was Frenchman Kevin Vaquelin, second, at 12 seconds was third, Briton Tom Pidcock, followed at 13 seconds by Frenchman Lenny Martinez and Irishman Ben Healy.

For Pogacar it was his sixth victory of the season, his third classic after Strade Bianche and Tour of Flanders; the Slovenian outclassman had already won the Walloon Arrow in 2023.
