Marc Marquez returns to the top step of the podium and does so in the place where it all began. On the Jerez de la Frontera circuit, in the Sprint of the Spanish Grand Prix, the star from Cervera conquers a victory with a symbolic flavor, completing a circle that began in 2020 with the injury that had started a long physical and sporting ordeal. Four years later, in front of his audience, Marc proves he is back big.

The Ducati rider put in an authoritative performance, overtaking Fabio Quartararo on lap three. The Frenchman, who started from pole position, tried to resist the Spaniard’s attack but ended up on the ground shortly after overtaking. An episode that turned the race upside down and paved the way for Marquez’s triumph.

Behind him was his brother Alex Marquez, also on a Ducati, about a second and a half behind. Third was Francesco Bagnaia, who had to watch his back from an excellent Franco Morbidelli, fourth and increasingly comfortable with the Ducati of the Pramac team. Behind them, a lively race marked by other excellent crashes, such as those of Johann Zarco and Jack Miller, who raised the white flag before the finish line.

On the stands, watching the spectacle, also two motorcycling legends such as Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa, witnessing the return to success of a champion who has fought hard to become competitive again.

For Marc Marquez, this is a victory charged with emotion and meaning, reviving his ambitions in a season that could truly mark his rebirth.
