Alex Marquez happily commented on his first career MotoGP victory: “The truth is that it is the best birthday present I could have hoped for, unbelievable. The first win here in Jerez is incredible”.

“The fans have been incredible, I couldn’t ask for more. At the beginning I attacked too much and lost a little bit’ but then I found my rhythm. I was focused on trying to keep my distance and not give anyone a chance to come back”.
Marquez was ahead of Fabio Quartararo and Pecco Bagnaia: “I controlled the race perfectly, and that”s no small thing, since they are the best riders in the world”.
